A GANG of six Australian graffiti vandals left a trail of international destruction before being caught defacing trains in London.

The Sydney gang, known as the AMF Crew, were last night jailed after being linked to more than $140,000 damage in a dozen UK attacks.

But photographs recovered from the men show some had also struck in Sydney, Japan, Spain, Italy and Germany.

Police discovered gang members had recorded their crimes in more than 1000 photos, often posing with their damage.

Jake Shumack, 24, Adrian Hing, 22, Alex Wisman, 24, Marcus Wisman, 22, Scott Mulhearn, 22 and Luke Vassell, 23, all from Sydney, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit criminal damage.

"It became clear that these men were part of a highly organised international gang linked to acts of vandalism worldwide," British Transport Police Chief Superintendent Mark Newtown said last night.

UK police have been working with their counterparts in Sydney and the men could face further action when they return home to Australia.

Detective Inspector David Aiton said the "primary intention" of the gang's global travels was for graffiti.

"Worldwide you are looking at well over £200,000 ($410,000) damage," Insp Aiton said.

The men had arrived in London between late 2007 and December last year and had various jobs ranging from construction to graphic design.

Police spotted the gang in a railway yard at Ilford, northeast London.

Marcus Wisman was sentenced to 16 months in jail, Mulhearn to 14 months, Shumack to 12 months, Hing to 12 months, Vassell to 10 months and Alex Wisman to eight months.

Well don't send them back here Ab's..............you guys tried that already and we got the better deal .........nah let em' freeze in a UK prison for awhile.

Honestly these guys are trying to make some kind of point for fame it sucks when you have to deficate someones property to do so .

There's a difference between a wall allocated to such and someone elses property . How would you like someone to come into your home thinking you need a new paint job in your lounge room? without your permision?
