For my American friends on the anniversary of 9/11
It seems like only yesterday that I woke from this evening and watched 2 planes bring terror, death and destruction to America. Although all countries were affected including British people, I dedicate this to America and her folks.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them. R.L. Binyon

Yes I remember standing in front of my TV at home getting ready for work. I usually don't have the TV on but for some reason I did that morning. I was watching Katie Couric as the planes crashed into the towers. I couldn't move, I couldn't think, I went numb such sadness was unfolding before my eyes. :-1

MOTTO TO LIVE BY:
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming.
WOO HOO!!, what a ride!!!"

I couldn't sleep last night & watched a show on the History Channel.
I have never seen anything like that before or felt a deep sadness such as I did watching that programme about 9/11.
I had seen bits & peices but never a full doco like that one.
I was at work & couldn't believe what I was watching on TV.
I often listen to Alan Jackson — Where Were You (When The World Stopped Turning) .

It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice.

I remember tomorrow as I was at work.....colleagues came in and told me.....
I had no t.v. until lunchtime........-1
after work the neighbours and I stood outside talking......in shock.
because I live near the airport, all stood still in the air, as no planes were flying above.......it was like a shockedened calm I had never experienced.
That night on the news......and the day after and the day after...:-1
