Daily Express | UK News :: BNP voters' views 'legitimate'
Daily Express | UK News :: Keep out, Britain is full up
It seems the Express is giving the BNP a good press over the past week.

Perhaps they realise that the BNP have got a very good point about the immigration situation ?

Just pretending it's not an issue won't make it go away. It's not so much racial as cultural I think. Being told that we should respect someone religion and cultural beliefs is one thing, being told that we should not apply our standards and laws because they are inferior and not appropriate is another. I'm fairly liberal but someone telling me I can't be critical of religion because some might find it offensive offends me. We turn a blind eye to forced marriage and female circumcision and pretend we shouldn't interfere because it's cultural or religious belief is turning your back on child abuse and mutilation. You have muslim friends oscar what do they think?
I got to know a few of the east African asians that came here from Uganda. They thought the UK was fantastic-the divirce rate soared because the women realised they didn't have to put up with husbands they were forced to marry. I knew one woman who at the age of 30 had two children one 16 and the other 14 to a man the same age as her father. She wasn't keen on sharia law and lived in terror of her ex husband finding her.

Firstly... you know i have investigated the BNP. I have to say I went to the first meeting with fear and Intrepidation. I arrived expecting to see hoards of neo-nazi skinheads but No. I was welcomed in and I have to say I have never seen such normal people !! Every day people that are no different to you or I but worried for their country. I found it sad to see rows of war veterans there wanting the country they fought for. There were children there also but there was no indoctrination of any sort... they were just having fun organising the raffle. The guest speaker that night was a famous Ex Tory MP and I can't say his name as he could lose his present job. He spoke for two hours and I expected it all to be about Immigration but No... he covered everything, the economy, the EU, banking etc etc. He was actually very very good for a Tory. I even applauded him and wished him a safe journey home. These people I met were not rascists by any account... they were simply concerned about mass uncontrolled Immigration. I was shocked at what I heard and saw that night... it was certainly not the image that the media portray.
Going back to my opening post... I do think that finally one newspaper has the balls to come out and say that the BNP do have valid views. I do believe that the tide is turning as far as the BNP and people are beginning to see through some of the smear campaigns.
I agree with what you have said. I know certainly that my best friend who is muslim loves this country for the freedom it gives her although her family and husband do treat her in a way still that I certainly would not tolerate. They embrace the British way of life and our laws and do not want Sharia law themselves. I hear terrible stories from my friend of how women are still oppressed in the Middle East and one reason they do not want Sharia law as it still favours the husband every time.

Hitler was quite appealing as well to begin with. it's what right wing policies can lead to you should worry about.

You should wonder at the motives of those who want to see it introduced. The only reason is to give them power. Realistically family pressure is incredibly hard to resist especially if you are not economically independent. The east african woman always made then point it was the fact that women could get jobs that really made the difference.
Our laws and courts are structured to curb and act as a check on the power of authority. religious courts are structured to do the opposite-give power to authority.

My wife and me, find many of the professed policies of the BNP to be the answer to many of the countries problems.
She thinks the Health service is marvelous, the Benefit system over generous, for single mothers and the out of work drinkers that frequent the pavement outside the local Off Licence. She feels we are too welcoming to overseas 'visitors'
She is involved in local politics while I am not interested enough to get involved.
We cannot join the BNP, because my wife is an ethnic.
Their membership denies membership to people on racial grounds.
Lenny Henry or Ian Wright would not be welcome to join.
That is where me and the BNP part company.
I have had many conversations about how the BNP have changed, how they are not that same racist party we all think they are, but their membership criteria remains the same.
And even if they change the rules, will that mean the hardcore element become born again peace and harmony hippies ?
I believe they are who they are whatever public face they put on it.
Their fundamental beliefs will not alter.
And as much as I want to stop the 'bloody foreigners' flooding the country, paying the price of voting for a BNP government is far too high a price and too big a gamble.

Of course, as you say, much of the nonsense about the BNP is smear tactics. Labour did it to Damian Green and the Torys so what makes anyone think they are not doing it to the BNP?
When I looked into the BNP, I immediately flagged up the subject of my muslim friends. After telling them about how hard they work and how they contribute to our country, they actually said that they are the kind of people our country needs...
The BNP are expelling the hard right nutters at an alarming rate and they are joining splinter groups such as 'Combat 18' and 'The English Defence league'. I do know that the BNP is deadly serious about going mainstream in a big way and Griffin wants a Candidate in every constituancy ready for the election. The BNP has had to realise that they have had to adapt to survive and it is this that will see a candidate win a seat in the election, I am sure.

You totally misunderstood what I am saying.
While many of their policies are good, if you vote for them you get the whole package.
It doesn't matter how many right wing nutters they expel, when they have Nick as the leader with his stated beliefs, I don't think you can change your basic beliefs, and the fact he does, just to get elected, makes me even more wary of him and his ilk.

Yes, I agree with you but not all the policies are set in stone. The Party is still relatively young and there is room for debate and adjustment.

They used to say that about hitler-many industrialists supported him initially because hew as anti-communist and the anti-semite part chimed with their own prejudices no one dreamed what it would lead to. We know better now don't we?

I too am one of those 'bloody foreigners' you are talking about. I happen to be from the United States. Born in Texas, raised in Indiana. But I married an Englishman. To put the record straight, with my first Entry Clearance visa, I was allowed to stay, but I was not allowed to work. I was not allowed access to public funds and neither was my husband who is ENGLISH!! He alone supported the both of us for the first 6 months I was here. Then with my next visa (limited leave to remain) I was allowed to work, but still no access to public funds. (Never wanted any anyway!)
Now I have full residency. I have access to everything a citizen does, except the vote. (dont want that either!) The only public benefit I have received to date is a reduction on my council tax because I am a full time student. (Nursing) Because BRITAIN says my AMERICAN qualification isnt enough. I work part time as well as go to uni full time. I have NEVER claimed benefits, nor do I ever intend to. I work and pay my taxes just like you do. I dont claim child benefit nor do claim income support, though I believe I could. I am a law abiding resident of this sceptered isle, and I will continue to be. All my money goes back into the economy in which I reside. I have no relatives I am trying to move over so we can skive and plot to blow up local airports and such, and I attend Church of England services when I am able to do so. I dont have 6 children and a council house, I have a private mortgage. I earn my keep, I buy local goods from local services. I havent let my shadow fall in a single shopping mall in the 6 years I have been here, as I believe in supporting my high street businesses versus a private conglomerate. I have been here long enough to become naturalised. (cant afford it at the moment.....STUDENT!)
I also have more ENGLISH in my little pinkie (DNA) than do most folk that hold British passports these days.
My point to all this is, watch who you call a 'bloody foreigner' dude. Most of us bloody foreigners are who is holding this place together at the minute.

Raven... I know Clod and I'm sure I can speak for him when I say that refering to 'those foriegners', he means third world immigrants who arrive here with nothing and give nothing.
I will no doubt get slated for saying this but it's really odd that British just do not view American as 'foriegners', nor any Commonwealth countries people.
We do have a problem with mass Immigration here that many are relient on the benifit system. The country and even the BNP welcomes folk like yourself and wish we had more like you. It is also different in that you have married a British man and made your life and career here. What the BNP object to, is immigrants who arrive with nothing, getting residency and then bringing in the extended family who all need free housing, education, health care and benifits.

But thats why they come. And what they dont understand, is that they are signing up for a slavery of a different kind. They have sold their minds and free will to a government they fought hard to get rid of! Thats what happens to EVERYONE who expects the state to feed, clothe and house them. Me and a friend (from Zimbabwe) were discussing this very issue yesterday. (she works her tail off as well) She has a friend who drives her crazy over gossiping about other friends who have 'grassed' her up over benefit cheating. The government is to blame. They are the ones who created this handout culture. It's removed the one human instinct to survive by replacing it with indolence and complacency.
Unfortunately I have run across a few 'bad apples' that view me as a foreigner. Mind you...they were not white british....but I am classed as white other.:yh_rotfl

You are JOKING me!! :yh_wait I swear I am witnessing with my own eyes, the extinction of the Anglo-Saxon English. Like when Rome invaded in 45 AD. The tribal governments let it happen. Even welcomed it. Boudicca saw the light after she saw the whip. Whats it going to take to wake the English up now? Rome has conquered again. (EU)
Do you ever wonder what will happen to the majority of benefit recipients if their benefits are ever REALLY cut off? Bet most of them bugger off back to where they came from....unless it's like the officials would have you think. That most benefit recipients ARE the Anglo-Saxon English.

Raven... I know Clod and I'm sure I can speak for him when I say that refering to 'those foriegners', he means third world immigrants who arrive here with nothing and give nothing.
No you can't. especially when he hasn't actually posted on this thread-unlessbruv/clod are the same people.

You are JOKING me!! I swear I am witnessing with my own eyes, the extinction of the Anglo-Saxon English. L
That happened in 1066 when a bunch of Frenchmen descended from a bunch of Vikings came over and took everything. Their descendants still own most of it we've just been persuaded they are entitled to it all.
The government is to blame. They are the ones who created this handout culture.
and who elected them?

Comes full circle doesnt it? People only go on what little information is given to them. How do you know you elect anybody at all? For all you know, it is a sham set up to make you BELIEVE you have a voice. The outcomes may have already been decided by those who feel you are too ignorant to understand the real issues anyway.

Sorry Raven you don't get English ironic humour, my comment about 'bloody foreigners' was tongue in cheek, I married one.
The only problem with foreigners is that there are too many at this time.
I have no problem at all with foreigners, just the amount of them.
