I love his music!! But he personally is trash in my opinion!!
"Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group that believes you can do these things. Among them are a few Texas millionaires, or businessman from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid." Amazing artist. I've five of the CDs by the desk here, they pump me up when I need it. I have slight hesitations at the edges - I think he caves in now and then and says hey, I'm not like this really, I'm just getting up tossers' noses - but ignoring that, he's got it.

I'm not sure you'd approve of what I have playing at the moment, though - Lene Nystrøm's solo CD, Play With Me. Or the copy of aquarius and aquarium next to the Eminem.

Marshall Mathers.... talented...but not a family man. He struggles more than he lets on. If he didn't have millions I would feel sorry for Haley. That poor kids parents. I like his music. It's nice that he got over feeling sorry for himself and quit rapping about his sh***y past and started concentrating on how serious the music industry is. Whatever sells I guess...leave it to the managers.

:wah: @ TxJuggalo. That's a pretty strong reaction you're having yourself there. lol

As for me, I don't mind a bit of Eminem. If his stuff comes on the radio while I'm driving I usually bop along to it.

You know, there's a lot of asterisks in this thread. Do people think they're being less verbally offensive by disguising a few vowels in their obscenities, than if they used the full words? If there actually is an obscenity filter, perhaps we might acknowledge its spirit rather than wriggling round its letter?

As for Eminem, I believe the point is either to hit the dance floor and plain boogie, or to listen to the words. The words are amazingly powerful, and the boogying quite effective. What more could one ask for?

i like him

i think he is very talented and his music speaks a lot of truth... i also like that although he is a rapper he doesnt seem associated with all the violence etc, since he came out he seems to have calmed down somewhat and for the better i think, his music is more serious now not just out there to get attention etc etc

i cant remember what my fave song is but its something to do with singing for the moment.....

I forgot to ask in my previous post...what's the deal with the Eminem-Moby hatred thing?

I like Eminem and I also like Moby (funny weedy little guy, also great musician)

Eminem's rampant hatred and vilification (has actually threatened violence on him) of Moby makes me think that Eminem is not right in the head.

Anyone up to date with this celebrity-bunfight?

I think, TxJuggalo, that a simple examination of his bank balance explodes your suggestion that Eminem, at least, is a no-talent hack. The most that you can say is that he fails to speak to your inner man. No-talent hacks don't sell.

TW, I believe the "other" thread TX is referring to is his ICP thread. I think.I like Eminem, even though my guy would upchuck if he knew that.

All the speculation here about his personal life is kind of funny. One of the bars I worked in a while back is close to his ex-wife's home. Kim hung out at my bar about twice a month for a year or so, and I have to say, I can understand Marshall's misery. The things he says, (indirectly) about Kim are right on the money. This chick is NUTS. Miserable, mean, an alcoholic, ego-maniacal, vindictive, hateful and a serious coke-head. I had her booted from the bar because I caught her snorting in the ladies bathroom one night and she came back at closing with 2 other girls threatening to kick my @ss. This girl has major problems. So I can see where Marshall's hatred comes from. I think it's awesome that he has the release of his music to deal with it.

"The only reason feminem is so big is because he had the backing of Dr. Dre. Without Dr. Dre he would still be in his little trailer park back in Detroit."

I don't know about that comment because I believe in my perspective that even if Dr. Dre didn't help him; he would find a way into the music business because he have talent. Even if it was because of Dr. Dre that Eminem became famuous; Dr. Dre saw something in Eminem for him to back him up in the music business. I just think that Eminem is one of many lucky ones because he got out of his situation and made millions at the end.

Their both no talent hacks, the only one with talent that their associated with is Dr. Dre. He's only about the money, and I don't know about you, but I'm not down with that. As far as that comment about ICP I'll just ignore that cause I know you've read to my other thread.

I have to step back in here, i know everyone has their oppinion but damn that is harsh i love Eminem he is fantastic and he sings the truth and is not afraid of the outcome!!!

If you want to engage in serious exchanges, rather than spitting, I suggest you stop using this abusive "Femenim" label, too. There is at least a minimum level of civility we employ here, and name-calling, along with those asterisks, is not helpful.
