Did you ever notice how fast life can go up and down? I had a good ride on a rollercoaster today. Let me count the ways.

How is it that a person's whole perspective on life can change so quickly with one phone call or one event? It's fun but it kinda sucks too.

Some days I have a different emotion ever 5 seconds. Is this part of being of being a woman...or part of being human?

I sure know what your talking about here. Some people tell me "thats life", lovingly of course  This happened a lot when I worked on the ambulance. I'd be having a great day, then have a bad call, then get down and start thinking about the meaning of life and why I'm here and and whats my purpose and end up with all kinds of depressing stuff. Followed an hour later by a "good call" and having the absolute opposite answers to the above questions. It can drive you crazy if your not careful. when I'm most down, I just try to remember its just a matter of time before some event with turn me back around. Its odd though, that the most seemingly petty thing will give me a mind-jerk, but I bet I'm not alone.
I probably posted that in an ambien trance-soryy

I said this in another thread, and I'll say it here: What doesn't kill you makes you stronger."

My dad has been working sporadically over the past year, due to an illness that keeps coming back around and double knee replacement surgery. His employer is a great guy, working with him and giving him the time he needs off to get better.

Dad has been worried a bit about his finances, (he's lousy with money) and was kinda down on everything and everyone, feeling sorry for himself. His boss came around to his work bench the other day and asked my dad to keep an eye on the shop while he stepped out for a few. Apparently, the boss had hired a man to do some "grunt" work around the shop and the man needed a ride home.

When the boss got back from giving the man a lift, my dad asked where the guy lived. His boss told him how the man had shown up at the shop asking for a few days work, and had a tent pitched in a cemetary. That's where he lived. He had nothing. A tent and a blanket. My dad stopped complaining about his lack of funds right then and there.

I think it's all perspective. Look at your life: Do you have a roof over your head? Lots don't. Do you have a bed to climb into at night? Lots don't. Is there food in your cupboard? There's folks out there without a cupboard, let alone food to put in it.

We are sitting in our cozy homes, talking to each other on our computers, and there's people, very close by, who would give an arm to have a bed to sleep in tonight.

Yup, I've got a lot of crap going on right now, just like a lot of you. And I wouldn't trade places with the guy in my dad's shop for ANYTHING.
[FONT=Arial Black]I hope you cherish this sweet way of life, and I hope you know that it comes with a price.

I actually was thinking less of moodiness than a real phone call of good news followed by another phone call with devastating news, followed by another...and another... and noticing how the world will seem to come to a halt then everything seems like it will be okay again then the roses wilt then new ones bloom.
