If you do. What are the most important items that are of interest to you? Total Fat? Total Carb? Sodium? Do you feel it's important information?

"Nutritional facts" labeled on the side of any packaged food is to sell the product...Some can argue that business owners wish to see people eat healthy:yh_eyerol...You'll forgive me for being cynical when pondering that thought...

The Fair Packaging and Labeling Act is quite frankly very important

Sell the product???? If more people bothered to read the labels and understood what they are reading, they would never buy certain food items.

I do now.

Used to be fat. Now it's fat and carb. Need to start watching vitamins too, I suppose.

I look for trans fats, fat content, and sodium.

Hard to believe it wasn't that long ago when such information wasn't provided.

Sugar, fructose, sucrose, carbs, trans fats, sodium and anything I can't pronounce.

Yes, every time I buy packaged food - which is not that often as I usually buy fresh and cook my own.

Not only the nutritional information for fat and salt levels etc but also the ingredients list for additives and the "what the hell did they put *that* in there for?" ingredients.

yes-fat and salt content and what additives are in it.

Big stushie between the US and EU over labelling. European consumers boycotted foods containing GM foods and demanded the right to know if it was in their food so the eu banned it's import-which GW decided was just us being anti-american. There's also issues over the us by the US of hormones, banned in the eu, in their cattle. Personally I want to know where the meat is from. Maybe it's being a much smaller overcrowded country but we've seen the effects of farming methods on our countryside much more quickly than the US. It's when the stuff get in to the water courses people start to worry.

Hmmm----if you check on any package of American Foods you will see on the label "Nutrition Facts"---it specifically states---fat content--salt--etc. etc.

Sure, when a food item happens to be more healthy than most other food items the "Nutrition Facts" becomes an advertisement. When a food item is unhealthy to consume then "Nutrition Facts" becomes the result ofK.Snyder;1273587 wrote: The Fair Packaging and Labeling Actand...K.Snyder;1273587 wrote: ...is quite frankly very important
