What a dirty trick that 'man' in the shop played on the poor householder. Just shows you that you've got to be so careful, and it's getting worse !

This Is not the first time It's happened. There was a case only months ago where the Romanian couple Insisted there was a cardboard sign outside the house saying 'For Rent' which was missiing of course, the moment Police arrived.
Even though the Romanians In both cases do not speak English, I do not believe for one moment that they do not know It is Illegal to enter a house. This couple broke In, they did not walk In.
They would no more think they could do this with a house In Romania than any where In the world. They are trying It on.

I do agree with you Oscar. I did notice that the pathetic police dropped the charge of burglary - only because it would mean that the Romanians would probably go to jail, and there aint a lot of room left in the jails!

What I find alarming also, Is that had the home-owner not have returned when he did, they would have had the locks changed by the time he got home. Then he would have had to break Into his own home, been arrested and charged!!
AND !!!!!
The pair got community service. they speak no English FFS... What community service will they be able to do that will benifit any-one. Oh, and BTW, the Council will have to house them and have them claim benifit so they have some-where to live In order to carry out the Community service. Jesus Christ !! :-5

Why give them Community Service? They broke the law... Just stick them on the first boat back to Romania Under our Deportation laws.

Nah......................... that's too easy ! But I do agree. I believe that if any immigrant breaks the law in this country, they do know right from wrong, and law-breaking in any country is much the same so they certainly know when they are breaking the law, they should be deported back to their country of origin straight away. It seems that sending them to prison won't happen, so they may just as well get sent back from whence they damn well came.

How can they do community service though?
Some community service Is working with the elderly for example. After what they have done, can they really be trusted around people's possessions?
Some Magistrates really are thick arn't they?
