constant noise from neigbours can make a person go mad.

Those things are load. A neighbour about a kilometer from us blew on one, and we could hear it clearly.

It is part of South African soccer since the 1980's though. Someone just commercialized it and sold thousands to the spectators. Apparently it sell like hot cakes in Europe as well.
