It seems incongruous to me that the military would give TOP SECRET CLEARANCE to a Pfc. that would give him access to secret military reports all over the world. Pfc. Manning is now going to trial for releasing to Wikileaks SECRET REPORTS on Afganistan.
It seems to me that the idiots that entrusted him with this TOP SECRET CLEARANCE are equally culpable.

I wonder if he's just the fall guy?
Someone else did the dirty, higher up on the political/executive ladder (I'm never clear on who is political and who is executive in the the American system) and this poor grunt is just the guy who moved the papers from one file to another?
