Competitions such as this is only a matter of time. I could only imagine the man was lucky in consideration to the possible outcomes of running down a steep decline chasing a disk shaped roll of cheese. Has anyone ever caught that roll of cheese?

The more popular the "sport" grows the more chance there is of seeing end results exactly like this one. Their pride gets in the way of their rational thought and end up...well...

In parts of Finland thee is not a lot to do at times.

But how drunk do you have to be to think this is fun?

This is so shocking. There's another good piece on it here: Sauna World Championship Death

I read on another forum of some lady shooting her mouth off saying how irresponsible he was doing it as he has a child... What a load of rubbish. People with that kind of attitude really boil me.

How dumb do you get? A world sauna championship , where the idea is to try and sit in a steamer for as long as you can, and no-one saw the potential for death?

I love my sauna, and sitting in one over 60 degrees hotter does not sound intelligent. I would not try that **** not even for fun. If you want to understand the risk, your body in a regular sauna pulls blood from your internal organs and flushes all the veins near your skin. Basically yourbody uses your skin like a giant radiator. The effect is quite nice and very healthy in small doses. Sitting in a room that hot, your body cannot cool and you start to cook FROM THE INSIDE OUT. Much like a turkey in the oven I would think. Not a good idea.

Yeah actually the idea is to sit in a steaming room until your body temperature rises enough for homeostasis to kick in ultimately ending in trying to save yourself from the torment rendered by the incompetence of mind and the refusal to remain rational. This rationality can best be defined by eating healthy and exercising "appropriately".
