the speed of light is about (3.0x10^8 m/s), even super slow motion cameras cannot detect the very small details that occurs during lightning strikes.. It's very complicated process to catch the very small details because light has properties of waves and properties of objects... It's very awesome though :D

thank you for sharing :guitarist

A lot of the stuff I posted today was brought to my attention via environmental Internet news journals that I receive every day by email. I'd be glad to give you the details of the mags if you wish.

I love watching a good lightning storm from behind the safety of my bedroom window. We don't get enough of them for my liking.

I do recall one moment when I was working with a partner installing cable back in 1996. It suddenly started raining like a waterfall and we both dived into the back of the van. A couple of seconds, we were subjected to the loudest crack of thunder. It must have been right above us. So loud it actually physically affected us, stressed our bodies and I think being inside the van tended to make it louder from reverberation. The shock had us laughing in a paranoid kind of way for a couple of moments.
