Despite all the hype on the new film "The American" with George Clooney, I found it required the viewer to imagine a story line on their own rather than the film making the plot clear. There were a number of questions that remained unanswered. Still, the film was entertaining and the love scenes quite erotic.

Questions----who did Clooney kill and why? Who did Clooney work for? Why did they kill Clooney? Did they not want to pay Clooney? Why did they bother to give Clooney the money?
