Mobile Phone Scams. A cautionary tale.

Post by G#Gill »

I had just over £5 in my pay -as -you -go mobile phone. I know this because my husband had just bought me the talk time, and Orange had informed me that I had £5.65 on my phone. Later in the day I received a text inviting me to take part in a competition to win an iPod, and put a question with an A or B answer. I took part, then a moment or two later I received another text from Orange telling me I had only 53 p. left in my phone ! I had made no calls since the competition, so I realised I had been had. There's no way that one call will cost £5, surely? I'm glad I hadn't had £10 put on my phone !

There is no way I will ever take part in any more mobile phone competitions ! (That was the first and it will be the last)
I'm a Saga-lout, growing old disgracefully
