I've never bought into the notion that people have actually experienced being out of their body. I've suspected all along it was some sort of reaction within the brain that more or less aides in the comfort of the individual during the dying process. It's an interesting phenomena.
It appears this 'out of body' experience can now be induced with a drug.
A popular “club drug” promises to open a scientific window on the strange world of out-of-body experiences, researchers say.

Nope. Seeing the back of your own head, hair by hair, can NOT be replicated by drugs. Out of body experiences are real, I should know.

'Out Of Body' Experience?
I have had rare vivid dreams that I was looking down upon my sleeping self. I could almost touch the bedroom ceiling. No drugs were involved.
