Bucket List

Post by Delorean »

So does anyone have a bucket list? You know, a list of things they want to do/achieve before they "kick the bucket"?

I've been teaching myself a little French. I don't know why, I have no plans to go to France, I don't even know any French people, it's just a nice language and I always wanted to learn another language. So that's one tick on my bucket list. :)

Another thing on my list is to swim with dolphins. Haven't done that one yet.

I also want to publish a book, I dabble a little in kids stories, one day I'll send one off to a publisher. I only need one published, just to say I've done it, and have my 5 minutes of glory.

I also want to own a really hot, spunky car.

And marry a really hot, spunky fireman :p

I think I have a better chance of doing the first 4 though! :wah:

That's all off the top of my head, I'll probably add more as I think of them.

So what's on your Bucket List?

Yup

Of course there are more than seven.

Really, my list includes standing on all the Continents,

Swimming all the Oceans, Climbing at least one major peak on each continent.

So far, I have all but: two of the oceans, two continents, and three peaks to go.

Antarctica will be the hardest one to pull off at my age, so I will try to get that one and its peak done next.

Wow, that's great. Quite an ambition, and to have achieved most of it! Have you done Australia yet?

Odie, why do you need a sexy fireman, haven't you got hot Canadian mounties over there? :wah:

Nope. I suppose that would be the logical follow-up from Antarctica.

Or perhaps, I should swap the order?

If you do those ones in our Summer, you could do Antarctica first then pop over here to thaw back out :)

I intentionally keep my list very long and try to add to it every day. I also keep telling myself that I have to do absolutely everything on my list before I die.

Just added learning to Snowboard to my list. Found out my nephew is an instructor in Vail, and he offered me free lessons.

I added a new one today. I was having coffee in Mendocino and overheard someone talking and liked the idea. I added a new category to my long list. I would like to be the oldest person ever to sail solo around the world.
