Donuts to Go
I stopped to pick up a few dozen donuts last night after TKD, as a reward for one of my classes. What a social place it has become-local bikers all across the store, whole inside filled at 8:30 at night with people sipping coffee or whatever. Lawn chairs on the side, with people sitting with their dogs. Is it like that there for everyone, or just a local thing? I haven't got donuts for years, it was like a whole new thing.....
Donuts to Go
Sounds like where my family lives. The donut shop is THE place for real people.
The home of the soul is the Open Road.

:wah: Oh my, I haven't watched a network TV show for years either, Nomad. I must be getting old (only cable news, when on the bike at the gym, I get bored).......don't drink coffee, so never needed a donut on the side, and can't eat them anyway.
Lars, I did ask the teachers at school who live by me, they say it is the spot to go for middle age people nowdays, they all hang there at the donut shop. I shall tote my husband up there during the summer months, for an outing.

Donuts to Go
One Hit Wonders Lyrics
The Bangles
Walk Like An Egyptian Lyrics
(L. Sternberg)
Vicki, Michael, Susanna
All the old paintings on the tombs
They do the sand dance don't you know
If they move too quick (oh whey oh)
They're falling down like a domino
All the bazaar men by the Nile
They got the money on a bet
Gold crocodiles (oh whey oh)
They snap their teeth on your cigarette
Foreign types with the hookah pipes say
Ay oh whey oh, ay oh whey oh
Walk like an Egyptian
Blonde waitresses take their trays
They spin around and they cross the floor
They've got the moves (oh whey oh)
You drop your drink then they bring you more
All the school kids so sick of books
They like the punk and the metal band
When the buzzer rings (oh whey oh)
They're walking like an Egyptian
All the kids in the marketplace say
Ay oh whey oh, ay oh whey oh
Walk like an Egyptian
Slide your feet up the street bend your back
Shift your arm then you pull it back
Life is hard you know (oh whey oh)
So strike a pose on a Cadillac
If you want to find all the cops
They're hanging out in the donut shop
They sing and dance (oh whey oh)
Spin the clubs cruise down the block
All the Japanese with their yen
The party boys call the Kremlin
And the Chinese know (oh whey oh)
They walk the line like Egyptian
All the cops in the donut shop say
Ay oh whey oh, ay oh whey oh
Walk like an Egyptian
Walk like an Egyptian
