Schools out, I slept in 'till 6. :-6

Surfs up next Monday, and a nice trip to see family and grandson.

What's up for you all this summer? Are you out yet, AC and Kathy?

Our school let out June 3rd. I've already been to a training seminar. I'm looking at 18 days of training this summer - some paid, some not. We're changing our formal testing system and I have 3 subjects to bone up on. Also, I'm told (unofficially) that I'm getting to teach senior Government and Economics next year, so I'm going to two different workshops held by the state bar.

I'm just glad to be busy and glad to be employed.

I hope you have a wonderful summer!

It's good to hear that they're keeping you on your toes and not letting you get into the rut of teaching the same syllabus year after year :-)

A bit worrying that you'll be teaching G & E at a senior level - I'll have to be more careful what I say in future :wah:

Enjoy the training, it'll make a good change being the other side of the desk for a while.

What a beautiful granddaughter!:-4

My grandson is 1 1/2, an active toddler. Loads of fun ahead.

AC, sounds like great subjects to teach next year, have fun!

What a grand boat!

I will get to teach all 6th and the GT classes, and only work 5 days in the summer. (more a job security thing-show up and show you're around) Otherwise, its research for 3-5 weeks, and lots of sleeping in. :)

I've never seen a boat this style?

Very unique!

The mornings are the best, watching the dew rise off the water, nothing is more peaceful.

You have such beautiful scenery where you live, thanks for sharing!

Thank you Chonsi, I kind of think so.:-4

Oh my your grandson has really grown up, I still remember your first visit when he was born. Oh yes, the active toddler stage!:wah:

If you can post some pics, I would really love to see him!

That sounds like a perfect summer, just working 5 days, now you have more time to visit us all here.

Headed to the outer banks next weekend
I expressly forbid the use of any of my posts anywhere outside of FG (with the exception of the incredibly witty 'get a room already' )posted recently.

Folks who'd like to copy my intellectual work should expect to pay me for it.:-6

I'm off to the Canyons of the West Tour in three weeks. 9 days of traveling by bus through some of the most beautiful places in the west that include 5-6 national parks. I'm bringing plenty of digital film and spare batteries for this "Bucket List" photo safari. I return August 1. Green Tortoise Adventure Bus Tours - Canyons of the West

don't forget to say goodbye so I'll know you've left.

The parks are certainly impressive and you will have a great time!

Just got back from a 3-day seminar on teaching high school AP government. Really interesting! The main speaker was a retired professor so steeped in US Supreme Court knowledge that he made the stories actually fun. That, plus we got a ton of goodies, including a class set of textbooks focused on the Constitution.

I'm teaching Summer School, but I still find time to go to the lake and drift around on a tube on Saturdays. Summer School's over tomorrow!
