Every time I see that headline I'm bemused that the EDL need coaching, they always seemed sufficiently well practised already.

When flower power came along I stood for Human Rights, marched around for peace and freedom, had some nooky every night - we took it serious.

Oh ha ha

I do not support the E.D.L. In any way shape or form and the sooner they go back to their Staff Bull terriers, the better, however, Is the ban on static marches not a tad hypocritical ?

Puts me In mind of the same thuggery shown to the miners.

The mistake is to pay them any attention. They're only out there for the attention. It makes no difference at all to them what attention they get, applause or brickbats. Generating a counter-protest is like winning the pools. Arrest them when they go too far, ignore them when they don't, they're in a cleft stick at that point.

Agreed but how ever repulsive they are, what about their rights to static protest?

Ah. It was "static marches" earlier, I was somewhat bemused.

The right to stand in one place without blocking the Queen's Highway and hold up placards and shout slogans? They have that right. So do I.

What else did they want to do besides that, which made it bannable?
