What could you write about yourself?
If you were asked to write 150 words about yourself knowing It was going on the website of a political Party, how would you go about It?

I'm about the least political person I know but "She doesn't like irrational people" pretty much says it all.

Depends what you're trying to achieve. Are you trying to impress the party faithful or persuade then to elect you to a post? Are you aiming it at any non-members visiting the site?
Once you've determined the purpose of the piece then sit a while and think of strategies to achieve that purpose - if you are putting yourself forward for election internally for example then who is the opposition? What are your strengths compared to them? What are their strengths and weaknesses? Do you want to push yourself or show them up? (a dangerous tactic at the best of times but it can work). Then consider your audience, would they react well to self aggrandisement or prefer modesty and understatement?
Only when you know where you want to go with the words you've got do you put pen to paper (far more direct brain to ideas that typing in my experience). When you've written it then put it away for a while to give your mind a time to mull it over in the background before you type it out - you'll probably find your fingers typing a different set of words to the ones your eyes are reading and they'll usually be far better for it.
Then spell check it, proof read it, get a second pair of eyes to approve it and it should be ready for submission.

Thank You Bryn, I was rather hoping you would advise and again, you have not dissapointed me.
To answer some of the questions, I was offered and appointed a position In a Party after I formally resigned from the party I was with.
My 150 words are to go on the parties website for my county which my position covers..... but, It will be there for anyone to see.
They have given me a rough Idea such as writing what my hopes and aspirations will be for my area and some background Info.

Then you need to be projecting the Party's position as much as your own and making sure that it reflects local interests and addresses local worries. Phrase it as I am and I want but make it the party is and you want.

Many members here write their blogs etc and I would be Interested to hear from them what they would put Into 150 words about themselves. That Is why I did not mention In the OP that I had been asked to do It. I followed on from Bryn's post.

You must realize you lack any credibility, with your childish name calling and constant harassment of certain members.

You probably should have reported me for instigating it, I'm pretty obnoxious.
