Supposedly used by a widowed bride but I have my doubts. However, it’s quite poetic. Upon the day of the funeral, the widow would collect her tears into this small vial. Then all the tears she cried in the first year over the loss of her husband, she would also capture in it and wear it around her neck. And on the anniversary of his death, she poured the preserved tears onto his grave.

Better than sitting crying on the grave for a year and a day to get one last visit from the dead.
