What if Jesus knew how to dance & sing?

If only Jesus of Nazareth knew how to dance & sing he would have also taught his disciples how to dance & sing. They`d stormed & taken over Jerusalem without a fight. & earned the reputation: The Singing & Dancing Jesus & his Apostles.

Interesting question. Sort of a "Dancing with the Stars," except in ancient Judea. LOL.

But it makes me think of more serious questions; like--if Christ was God in the flesh--why did he not perhaps offer a tidbit on proper sanitation, and spare countless millions the horrific consequences of bacterial infection?; or why is it, that if Christ was raised from the dead by a supreme being, that the tomb's stone had to be rolled?; or how could it be, that God could have been so incompetent or thoughtless as to be born at a time and place that caused a senseless massacre of a bunch of babies?; or, did God give any thought about the countless hundreds of thousands--millions?--of people that would suffer torture and death at the hands of the "custodians" (the priests & monks of the inquisition) who were entrusted with promulgating God's glorious plan of salvation?; or, was there any sense in Christ's revisting his disciples after the "resurrection" and offering the bizarre and potentially dangerous advice," they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all..." I mean, this is God we're talking about here. On the cross God had--allegedly--just conquered the consequence of sin for all mankind, forever!; yet when visiting his disciples He wallows in the murky depths of dangerous behavior and superstition with talk of snakes and poison, as if that could fit into any plan of salvation, any time, any where.

It saddens me to think that there are people that still believe such nonsense. It's a little frightening, too. I think of the Christian "snake handlers," who live by the creed, and on occasion die, because the Bible says that if they believe they won't get hurt when that snake bites them or they drink that delicious strychnine. One might think that God would have been a little more circumspect when talking about the future of mankind. And about all those babies that God caused to die: It seems to me that if God does not have the good sense or ability to be born an innocent babe in the world without causing a massacre of babies, then I should not be expected to have faith in the idea that God has the good sense or ability to grant me salvation through Christ. Fair enough?

I can answer that one. It is because we were able to do so, to signify that we must help ourselves to do what we must & God will do the rest. It mimics, I think, when Jesus had others remove the stone to Lazarus' grave, as that is what we were able to do, but only he was able to perform the miracle & raise Lazarus from the dead----that we must do our part before God will do his.

If Jesus could only properly communicate his message and like any son of omnipresent all-knowing all-powerful being should be able to do, make his message unable to be interpreted in any other way except the way he intended to then maybe we would not have things like the crusades or the inquisition or the salem which trials or these bantering Christians spouting that their way of worshiping god is better than everyone else because "Jesus" or "God" talks to them as if Jesus or God talks to nobody but them.

Though then again if Jesus's father wasn't so poor at not allowing his messages to be misinterpreted then the stuff that has gone on in the middle-east wouldn't have gone on for that long either. So I think it runs in the family.

I put the "order of the whispering fairy" on a par with Christianity, in that they are both make-believe. Nevertheless, I am sorry if I upset your belief system?

While it may not be actual fact, I.S., it is the actual interpretation by Christian scholars. Don't bother getting nasty about fairies, I am telling you what I learned, not what I believe. Although, there is a "moral" to the story, which is, by your own power, do what you can do. How can that be bad advice? It's funny, but I was going to write you on board, telling you I enjoy your posts. I guess I still will, because I'm not petty. Don't jump to conclusions, you know nothing about me.

Being you just said christianity is based on make believe and you said you will stick to the facts of a story based in christianity are you sticking to the facts of make believe.
