Everyone Been Square[d] Yet?

Post by Ahso! »

Square is a credit card reader for smartphones. It can be pretty handy actually and you don't have t be in business to use one.

Joe owe you money or going to pay you for babysitting or mowing the lawn or perhaps you give Joe some home care on your spare time and he's out of cash? Just swipe Joe's credit card and charge him the .0275 that square charges per transaction.

I had a credit card swiper for my phone that I was paying $10.95 a month for plus .0189 plus 25 cents per transaction which I canceled yesterday and signed up with square. Most of my business is either cash or check anyway so the $10.95 monthly was a total waste.

Yeah but I was recently reminded that credit cards won't be coming with magnetic strips much longer.

You've years yet before the hybrid card meets its maker.

And there are already cheep chip readers to replace the MSR devices you're using.
