I was just wondering about this. What's your opinions.

I say give them time served and probation. They are not musicians, they're politicians. If they do it again lock them up.

But apparently have have done it again ... and again. One more time will be that magic bullet to convince them to stop, or convince the gov't to change? Like the guy on the video said, they're doing this to be arrested and pay the price. Maybe that's what needs to happen.

I dunno.

Is bad art against the law?

I think anything that pisses off the establishment can't be all bad.

I get the impression Putin doesn't care but they disrupted church services which apparently enraged a large group of people since they feel that's an insult to god. Cuz you know god is a very touchy kind of guy and you don't want to piss him off in case he smites you.

I wonder what laws they'd be breaking if they tried this stunt here. Disturbing the peace and trespassing? Probably nothing that would get you incarcerated for three years.

Seems to be the religious that are making an issue out of it. Here I reckon it would be a breach of the peace or something like that.

The church "Patriarch" is a friend of Putin.

Somehow, I think this is more than religious people being offended.

We witness a new era in Russia.

The government once again sees that the church leadership can be used to manage the masses.

Patriarch Kirill is a politician, make no mistake of that. When you read about about that guy and his bunch you will see why the USSR frowned on religion. One thing is for sure, many Russians don't want things to change. These women and other like them are in a very tiny majority of people. The vast majority of Russians are religious in some sense and do not take kindly to those who disrespect any aspects of Russian culture.

I was thinking today that the girls should not be let free. I'm afraid that if they are freed some radical religious nutjob will murder them on the street eventually. I think they should be allowed to go to any country that will accept them. Exile. For their own protection.

The Russian government is not going to give them 24 hour protection and Russians have a good (if not perfect) sense of street justice.
