Yes. It's A Serious Book

I brought "Voltaire's Bastards" to work today and seemingly freaked out a co-worker who felt compelled to tell me she reads the newspapers every day.

To my shame, I've not read the entire book and I've had it for a long time. It's written by a very clever Canadian too. That's why I'm reading it now, with a pen to underline the bits that were so important sounding I kept putting it down before to find out what he was talking about. I'll look it all up later.

Meanwhile... you don't have to have read the book to be smart. It's okay. Sheesh. I hate feeling like I upset someone just because they've seen what I'm reading and that has happened more than once.
