Richmond Hill Christmas Cheer!

How the residents of Richmond Hole (was a Hill before thieves removed all the manhole covers and the municipality failed to replace them) turn challenges into opportunities.



This is Richmond Hill Port Elizabeth aka Nelson Mandela Bay. A place where residents and tourists go to eat ... it's like wall to wall restaurants!

Unfortunately the gazillions of poor people, still mostly black, have taken to stealing manhole covers which they sell to unscrupulous scrap dealers. So the residents have planted Christmas trees in the manholes!

Sad but true!
