British grandmother Lindsay Sandiford 'devastated' with death sentence - Telegraph

Thoughts?

I haven't the slightest bit of sympathy for her.

Are we to be sympathetic because she is a GRANDMOTHER? I'm not.

I have sympathy for her but not because she's a grandmother which is irrelevant. Clearly Indonesia means business with regards to ending drug smuggling into their country and it was either incredibly stupid or incredibly gutsy for her to attempt it. I can't see executing her for it though. I hope they appeal and end up with a prison sentence versus death.

This "lady" seems to be big-time in the hard drug world, who knows how truly dirty her hands are. On this level of play, it's a Cost of Doing Business. Nobody wants to pay the piper. If she were an ordinary tourist, I'd be very sympathetic. As it is, I still am. I don't like the death penalty in almost all cases.

For way too long British drug smugglers get caught then whine and cry to the British Consulate or UK Foreign Office and they get them out... It's a guess but I'll bet that's what she was thinking.

Drug Smugglers who are aware of a countries law of the land deserve all they get.

I must think small. She goes to Bali for 11 pounds of cocaine while I'd go to Bali for this:

If you want sympathy, you can find it in the dictionary between "**** and syphilis".

Should she be executed for her crime is another question.
What happened to Kamala Harris' campaign?
She had the black vote all locked up.

maybe if they executed more drugs smugglers we'd see a dent in trafficing. for sure her assets need to be liquidated and put to good use.

"Indonesia enforces stiff penalties for drug trafficking, but death penalty sentences are commonly commuted to long jail sentences." from the OP's link. Therefore, she will probably spend the rest of her days in prison. She does, IMO, deserve that.

I am a big fan of capital punishment for murder, that is my line.

Other countries see it different, executing people for many different" crimes".

I understand where your are coming from. It would not cause me any vapors if we were to execute drug smugglers.
