Has any watched the doco tonight on Richard 111 remains?

After 4 years DNA confirms the remains are that of the King.

What will happen now ? Surely he must re re-buried somewhere?

And If they can find some-one from the 15th century, why can't British Rail find my umbrella?

Oh yea

It was a while ago I read the possible discovery of Richard III remains.

Not being well versed in English History, to me was just who was he?

The guy Shakespeare depicted him?

Or as others viewed him?

The doco tonight was just awesome... they even reconstructed how he would have looked from his facial bones.

That's a very good question and some historians are claiming he was not the king as portrayed by Shakespeare.

He's t be re-interred in Leicester Cathedral and, yes, it was a very good program

Remarkable likeness to portrayals all the same. Yes, softer, more human, I was quite moved.

Fascinating that he was found with curvature of the spine as he was portrayed and an arrow In him.

They worked out that what they thought was an arrow was a nail.

He didn't die easily.

More gruesome, however, was evidence of ‘humiliation’ injuries, including several head wounds - part of the skull was sliced away - a cut to the ribcage and a pelvic wound likely caused by an upward thrust of a weapon, through the buttock.

Richard III (2 October 1452 – 22 August 1485) was King of England for two years, from 1483 until his death in 1485 in the Battle of Bosworth Field. He was the last king of the House of York and the last of the Plantagenet dynasty

According to findings from Ancestry. com, I am a descendant of the Plantagenet dynasty. Very interesting.

Did you watch the full documentary Tyr?

The quote you have given Is entirely out of context I'm afraid.

They already had knowledge the King could be buried In what was once a church under the car park.

The rest of your article Is more accurate at relating what she actually said In the documentary.

There's nothing wrong with that. She has spent years researching the area and what was the church under the car park...
