MEMORY FOAM MATTRESS' topper for double bed - which brand please?

Post by Aura »

I would like a*mattress topper*for a double bed by Silent Night. Should I go for 3" (3cm) or more?

I have curvature of the*spine. Ave looked in Argos and also seen these models:

Airsprung Memory Foam Mattress Topper & Pillow Set - Double -£74.99 -5cm

Buy Airsprung Memory Foam Mattress Topper & Pillow Set - Double at Argos.co.uk - Your Online Shop for Mattress toppers.

Silentnight Luxury Memory Foam Topper - Double - £63.99 - 2.5cm

Buy Silentnight Luxury Memory Foam Topper - Double at Argos.co.uk - Your Online Shop for Mattress toppers.

Is*Silent night*better make to go for?

Sorry to ask so many questions, I just don’t know which one to go for as It has to last me a while, and I don’t want to make a costly mistake and have something that‘s too hard..

Many thanks for your help

I've been told by my chiropractor that if I wanted a memory foam topper I would first have to make sure my mattress was in very good shape. Otherwise, the topper, although having some benefit, would not be nearly as effective. Good shape simply means that the mattress/foundation combination is not sagging or lumpy. If so, that could contribute to your spinal issue. If you have a good, supporting mattress, it really then depends on the quality of the memory foam topper. Go with 4 pound or greater density and you should be fine. Hope that helps.

MEMORY FOAM MATTRESS' topper for double bed - which brand please?

When I purchased my current mattress I decided to also buy a topper for it. I did a fair amount of research and found that there's a difference between memory foam and latex for both mattresses and toppers.

Memory foam has some drawbacks that caused me to favor the latex over it. Memory foam retains body heat more than latex so be prepared to sweat more with the memory foam; after sleeping on memory foam for a while it remembers the position you've slept in when it begins to heat up from body temperature and gives the feeling of being worn when that happens; memory foam has been reported to emit a smell and cause some people sinus discomfort.
