I hope some of you have not seen this.

I don't normally share such things, must be my age, or that this is a special clip.

(Am I turning into JJ or Arena ?)

I thought I knew more than this until I opened my mouth

I've always found these kind of videos disturbing. Why would you want to make your child cry? Let alone film it?

She looks like the high notes hurt her ears. I kind of doubt she's overcome with emotion at the beauty of her mother's voice.

Can't see a link, Bruv, but I think I've seen the video you mean on FB. That poor little soul, she looked quite distressed and as if she was trying to smile to please mum. And it had loads of "likes".

Well I never.

It does look like the child is reacting to the plaintive song, I am still not sure.

I think maybe her Mother is really ugly and she just realized what she may look like when she grows up.

I posted this video on my AFTR's Daily Commute thread a few days ago. I commented that this is why mom's usually sing lullabies to their babies instead of plaintive love songs.

Many many moons ago we were taught in child care there is a trick to singing lullubies. Firstly your voice has to be deep and monotone. When singing nursery rhymes you quicken the pace and sing a little higher.
