BBC News - Professionals star Lewis Collins dies

I was about 20 years old when The Professionals hit the TV screen. Like many others, I didn't leave the house on a Friday night until the show had finished at 10 pm.

I had such a crush on Lewis Collins.

A few years later, my local newspaper reported that he was due to appear at Worthing Magistrates Court on driving offences and a few of my girlfriends and I went along hoping to get a glimpse of him. As he left, he stopped briefly to chat asking us how long we'd been waiting and he was utterly dashing and charming.

I am so sad to see he lost his fight with cancer. He wasn't the greatest actor In mho but he was the best hard ever. What a shame.
