How to stop phone pest?

Post by john8pies »

Can somebody please advise on how one can stop a phone pest?

I mean I know you can report it if you know the individual, etc, or number, and you can ban numbers from unwelcome sources, BUT what can you do when the pest `jokingly` texts your number so that you get a wake up call any time day or night. This is NOT funny............ :-3 :(

Prayer, John. In particular, Psalm 35. It works every time, guaranteed blasts of lightning on anyone who has vexed you.

"Fight against them that fight against me", it starts out. "Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the LORD chase them."

It goes on for quite a few verses in that vein. You'll enjoy it.

Captain, have you ever tried that? In my experience, it gets you beaten up. Though, to be honest, that can be wonderfully liberating.

Psalm 35 seems designed especially against phone pests: "They speak not peace: but they devise deceitful matters against them that are quiet in the land. Yea, they opened their mouth wide against me, and said, Aha, aha, our eye hath seen it. "

It doesn't mention the middle of the night, but I'm sure it's covered.

so there is no live voice on the other end? Cops I think. If you get a person on the other end, sleep with a whistle next to you and when they call, and you know it is them, blow it loud and long in their ear. They pissed you off, you **** them off right back.

Thank, folk. No, it`s some new sort of thing whereby any idiot appears to be able to `text` your number to a third party (who presumably don`t know it`s not coming from you) to get them to send you an alarm call. Most frustrating, especially as `last number called` always shows up as your own number

I agree with Abbey...switch your mobile off at night!

If you need it on for work or for family emergencies, get a new mobile and ONLY give the number to relevant people at work (ie a limited number of people) or to your immediate family! If you still get prank calls on your new number, you should be able to narrow down your list of suspects!

Alternatively, get a new sim! :yh_doh :yh_sigh :yh_coffee
