I've never been to Barcelona. Send me a postcard.

Well yes, my town is very run down at the moment!
Meanwhile, there will be photos when I get round to re-sizing them. I'm not able to sit and figure it out at the moment as my patience isn't very good due to making a big decision before going to Barcelona to leave the tobacco in England.
That didn't quite happen, it went with me but there was only a tiny bit left. I arrived over there on the Sunday, had one tiny roll up on Sunday night then I smoked the last bit of tobacco on the Monday night.
So... as of today I have been tobacco free for 15 days with the help of an e-cig.

Right breath deeply slowly now..................take a deep deep breath.....................................good ennit?
I don't want this to sound trite or condescending or whatever the other words are but.........good on you girl..... well done.
And thats from a lifetime smoker....ex-smoker.
Now the next step..................don't get any refills or whatever you need to suck that 'pretend' ciggy.
You don't want it, you don't need it, you can do without it.....trust me.

Thank you. Yes, been taking deeper breaths, my doctor will be so pleased and I will try and stop the vapes, I don't really want to go from one habit to another but I wouldn't have given up the real ones without it!

Thank you! I hope I can.
I witnessed my Dad suffer with bad asthma for years and he never gave it up. Having my asthma reappear recently after years of no problems at all made me decide enough was enough.

found some sunshine
Will have been tobacco free for four weeks next monday. Woohooo :driving:
Been a busy time since getting back from holidays. We've even had some of our own sunshine here!
The two photos here are the street our apartment was in. It was really nice to be in the older area of Barcelona and not the new touristy areas. The apartment was surrounded on all sides by the locals who would happily try and spark up conversation with us at every opportunity.
The morning after we arrived we were awoken to a pneumatic drill and no electricity, then people shouting in the street. The workmen shouted back and carried on with their work for an hour whilst a few men paced the streets on their mobiles. Eventually the workmen downed tools and disappeared :-3. We went out and about doing our sightseeing and returned later that evening to find the workmen had moved directly across the road and started digging right under our balcony. It seems the workmen had made a mistake about where they should be digging :wah:
I was amazed that every day, sometimes even twice a day, including weekends and public holidays the bins are emptied. Each bin lorry has two operators who ride on the back and they just hop off and on to deal with the bins. There are street sweepers who arrive in a little truck at least twice a day picking up any litter and then once a day there is a bigger truck with two people walking on each side of it with hoses spraying the streets down. Every man and his dog has a dog out there but there was very little dog poo to be seen or stepped in which was refreshing.
Along every block there are squares for sitting in, the majority of which also have a children's play park in and its where you find the locals socialising over their drinks and tapas whilst casting an eye over the children playing until late in the evening.
