American people are some of the loveliest you’ll ever meet and make us expats feel all warm, cuddly and very welcome. But just occasionally they do or say something that we Brits find a tad¦ eccentric.
Feel free to add your own peeve.
And so as not to be too one sided, let us Brits know how we drive you Americans nuts.

I couldn't agree more, the Americans go out of their way to make visitors feel welcome and are genuinely lovely people but ...
When we went to California I totally messed up over the hotel booking and we had hotel a receptionist going way more that the extra mile to find out where we were actually booked and sorting out how we should get there - all with no expectation of getting any business out of us, just through generosity of spirit.
but then I'd agree with almost all of the list you've linked to.
A big positive against a few little niggles?

What bilge, is this serious or a wind up ? I've been a frequent visitor to the U.S.A. over the years and none of those listed are in the slightest annoying to myself. Far from it, the whining British would be viewed with more respect should we have these examples.

Chill a bit, try and relax a little.
Give us some bad bits about the Brits then just so we can laugh at each other.

The way how in American films, the slightest nudge to a car & it explodes - NEVER buy an American car.
Similarly, why do they always veer off the road to make sure that they hit the multitudes of empty cardboard boxes that always seem to be stacked there.
And in an American Whodunnit, once you hear a British accent, that's who dunnit.

Well, at least one Brit is not annoyed by hearing, "I love your accent."

Give us some bad bits about the Brits then just so we can laugh at each other. Let's start with the attitude some possess that the British are a superior race who can sneer at Americans while actually contributing nothing to their own country. How about that for a laugh ?

Actually in the british context it's just the english that think like that. Scots, welsh, irish actually KNOW they are superior and feel no need to sneer and indeed can view the rest of humanity with a tolerance and equanimity that almost beggars belief. Could just be that celtic component of course
