Only one at church not invited to birthday parties
Only one at church not invited to birthday parties
I am so upset, I am never invited to birthday parties or weddings of people at my church and I am the only one not invited. Once again a girl at my church had a birthday party at a restaurant last night and invited everyone in my church group except me. She made a facebook status thanking everyone for coming and tagged everyone in my church group. I am upset that once again I was the only one not invited

Change your church. You can spend a lifetime worrying about the good opinion of people whose opinions don't actually matter.

What kind of church is this? What denomination, what goes on there, what kind of services?

You've posted 4 threads since you have joined FG. The other three are about people at your church not Inviting you to weddings and people at your church blocking you on Facebook. Now this one about people at your church not Inviting you to birthday parties.... why are you still at this church ?
At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them. R.L. Binyon

Makes you wonder, doesn't it?

Perhaps the problem is not with the Church, but a little closer to home.
Furthermore, it is not the Church that invites people to weddings (at least not with any of the Churches I've come across), but the families of those concerned. I have nothing to do with Churches, on principle, but am an enthusiastically active member of a Community Choir, which could be likened to members of a Church (in many of the members are members of various Churches - one is even a Lei Preacher). However, if one of them has a relation, such as a Son / Daughter etc. getting married, unless the choir had been asked to sing at the wedding (which is often the case), I would never expect to be invited To do so would be nothing short of being self centred & arrogant.
