I would ask all those who follow fantasy based religions, to look back at the blood soaked history of your particular creed, one of many, and ask yourself why, in these modern days, you support a fantasy based religion.

No, I don't support evil but I do support logic and the ability to conduct a reasoned and well constructed discussion, an ability that you seemingly lack completely.

So far you have failed to engage my sense of morals, indeed you know nothing of them as all you have done is try to dictate what I should find moral / immoral backed up with specious arguments and unsupported statistics take without controls and without reasonable points of reference - still less do you know anything of my beliefs as you ride roughshod over any that do not match your own.

The preachings of Jesus, as a man, were more a matter of Community Politics than anything to do with Religion. I agree that Christ/anointed one, is a political designation. In those days, religion and politics were hard to separate.

I think they tried to with the duality of as above so below because of the problem they had in thinking that heaven was really here on earth because they could not reconcile hardship and evil with heaven.

Christianity also had a hard time with that and that is why they saw Satan as evil and being cast from heaven to the earth. They, unlike Gnostic Christians, could not see heaven on earth. They, to us, live in mental poverty.

Jesus said, "If those who attract you say, 'See, the Kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you.

If they say to you, 'It is under the earth,' then the fish of the sea will precede you.

Rather, the Kingdom of God is inside of you, and it is outside of you.

The word posted as meek actually meant weak or weakness. The I adm is now in question. The Bible is not a translation in fact it is an interpretation of the ancient language which was an interpretation of their experiences as they tried to interpret them. The creeds are a block to Jesus s words that he had many things to tell us but we are ready to receive them. I believe that a Christian is one who seriously follows the way.

Tribalism is the need or want that the religious are appeasing.

The more one sacrifices to an idea, the longer it will last. That id what the religious hierarchies hope for.

Actually, the Church was the only entity for centuries with enough literate people to read the Bible, and they were the only entity with the resources to produce a copy. Therefore, they pretty much owned the Bible. After Gutenberg's press became more prevalent, the Church could produce enough Bibles for every diocese to have one, but they still owned production and education. It was not until after the reformation that printed Bibles began to show up in the general populace and even then it still took time before many people outside the Church had the talent to read, much less interpret the meaning.

Now, every clown in the civilized world can get their hands on one, but not many really have the wherewithal to figure out what it all means.

Note how all university students have to come up with a new thesis to gain their degree.

Seems that teachers want steady progress and demand it from their students.
