The Pentagon has invited external experts to hack into its systems in the first such test of its cybersecurity measures.

Why would the Pentagon do that when they could just ask the NSA to have a go? Does the Pentagon not think they'd be told the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth by the NSA?

They've also announced a server side vulnerability using SSLv2 as an access route :-

I've checked ForumGarden and it comes out clean but, apparently, those of us still using POP3 for e-mail could be at risk.
