Sports personality of the year

We in the UK have a national vote each Christmas to designate the Sports Personality of the Year.

Perhaps I might be allowed to suggest Lauren James?

I might also suggest that the women's leagues could overtake the traditional fixtures' attendance figures over the course of the next decade. It's a lot more enjoyable. I reckon the side should play Gareth Southgate's England squad for a friendly too.

An unfortunate selection given her sending off today.

Footballers are always winning SPOTY - maybe we could go for one of the Netball players?

I have seen a clip of the moment in question and I think she was quite oblivious after the collision, I don't think she had the slightest intention.

I shall go and look at the netball contest of which you speak. I played netball in my youth.

Not the initial collision, the stamp as she got up afterwards.

It's the stamp that I called oblivious, nothing else. I may be wrong, obviously.
