1 year down - 4 to go

Today I was declared one year cancer free and doing very well. My oncologist told me the first year was the most critical for not having a relapse, it means they are 90% sure I will not come out of remission. I like those odds. I will be considered cured at 5 years. :-6

I just know I will get there soon enough! Today was a short set back..Get this- I have to go INTO the hospital becuase I have to get a ingrown toe nail removed..Strange? a hospitalization - for a flippin toe? I guess not when your platletts are down and your imune system is a little low...LOL I just had to laugh when they said- 24 hours of antiobiotics per IV- in the hospital...Oh well- I guess we can never be normal again huh? NV?

Again - girl- I am sooooooo very~ very ~very ~very ~very ~very ~very.......Happy for you! We have our Relay for Life on Friday - and I am hoping to be ready....Our town was rated #1 in the Nation the last 2 years...I think they made over $220,000 last year.....and that is per capita....but still we are excited to beat that again this year! I am hoping to be out and join my family for some "walking" excitement... :-6

Fabo news girl. Mom you hang in there too, and may I join my mother up by association. I am hoping she makes her 1 year cancer free this coming August.

Mom, my mother had to do numberous follow ups from a bug bite after having her lump in her breast removed. So I think it is good to be taking this all seriously

Outstanding, N!!! Now get yourself outside and smell those roses!!! Take a picnic, play with the kids, blow the bank account and buy a dress, go out to eat...

We will be celebrating. Going to California for family reunions next week. The kids are coming from Tennessee before the SIL deploys for Iraq. We decided to get married next week while the kids are here.

I've been extremely blessed in my life and I appreciate all the good wishes. I think it finally hit my heart today that I am probably through the worst. I'm looking forward to the best.
