Just some mindlessness for the weeks end here.

When you set down to eat your meal, are you a fast eater or a slow eater, do you toss back your food as though your going to be robbed of it before you get done or do you take your time and enjoy it, savor it and go nice and slow?

What about your partner, same as you or different and if different do you both remain at the table till the last one is done?

Hey girl.

That is cool, tis only polite to remain seated I think.

I grew up a speedy eater and remain a speedy eater. The BF is painfully slow. He says as a kid it was nothing to endure 3 hour meals.

You can imagine how this kills me to sit politely while he dawdles along ahahahaha

I have a tendency to eat to fast which was part of my farm upbringing. Dad always wanted me to do things faster.

Enjoying a slow leisurly meal with my wife though is much perfered to scarfing food down.

Think I posted my pesto pasta recipie here a while back. It is yummy:)

It depends on what and where I am eating. This past week I ate with relatives and their cooking style is not to my liking, nor is their food. I ate rather quickly to get it over with. With cooking and food that I really enjoy, I like to savor each mouthfull.

I am a fast, sloppy eater. You don't want to be around me when I eat. Believe me.

Ha! Got some serious sounding ingestion problems here, but, what the heck, I can only think of about one person who has a pretty impeccable eating style and that would be my sister! I eat faster than I should, which keeps me eating more than I should. I'm working on it! Don't enjoy spilling on myself, can't stand smackers. Anybody out there a loud smacker--slap yourself upside the head for me!!

I have always been a slow eater. I chew forever......the rest of my family was always done before me when growing up and they would all leave the table. Only my mom stuck around. That was nice. By the way....all of you fast eaters.......can you slow down just a bit?? There's never anything left for us slow eaters and you make us nervous!! LOL

Could someone tell how much a stone is in american weights. I am a slow eater, if I don't chew real good I can't swallow and I choke. I cough hard enough to help expell the food out. I have had a few strokes and swallowing is one of the things I don't do well with. Everyone else eats like they are in a race, to see who can finish.

I am the slowest eater on the face of this planet. I don't know why either. I don't talk much, don't watch TV or do other distracting things, etc. I have a small mouth so maybe I take smaller bites.

Hubby eats like I'm going to snatch his food. Then he's off to do whatever he was doing before dinner. I told him that would have to change someday when the baby was older as I'm wanting a family dinner if possible every night.

That wouldn't be too bad... at least then, my date wouldn't have to wait for me to finish up my meal before dessert. :D

I'm slow too, but thats ok because my BF is 6ft 2 and eats double what I eat so we usually finish at the same time. He always seems to get his food around his face though which is quite funny because he's a really neat and tidy guy:mad: I always have to tell him he needs to clean his face, he doesnt get it on his shirt, just around his mouth.

 It's rude to talk with your mouth full anyway!

When I'm at home I just eat my food without thinking about it but when I'm in company or in a restaurant, I act like a lady :D

As long as we're talking about rude people and food...................I want to vent. A friend of mine is so rude. She barely eats anything past a hamburger, noodles, fries, nothing too exotic! I eat all sorts of wierd stuff...pretty much anything...sushi, sauerkraut, oysters, cold fried chicken...anything--I'll try it! So anyhow, what I can't stand is when I am eating something and she gasps "Oh gross that smells!" or when someone says "Yuck that looks gross!" I think that is the worst manners.... Any of you that behave like this, should think about how dumb you sound. You're basically saying ...."I am uncultured, close minded and have never tried anything!".................................Ahhhh ok, I feel better now....sorry everyone....just my soapbox!
