OH happy day for me

I am doing the happy happy dance here today, I just got word that finally this month after nearly 2 years of waiting I will get my first 1/8 installment of spousal support from the Ex!! This is such grand news as it bumps me from being a 1/10th owner of my house to now 1/5th owner and I could not be happier OMG I am just busting here.

ooo thanks ladies.

Ohhh Betty patience is key. I really went out of my way to be patient as much as it killed me. And it has paid off, and after spending a year fighting like wolverines we now are civil and this has paid off with getting $$$ from the guy.

I wish you luck Betty. Pity you are going through this as well.

HAH I couldn't give up, I had to support my 2 kids, I had to get a job after living the high life and being a stay at home mom for a year. Prior to that I had hobby jobs, jobs for my amusement and fun money. I gave up my 16 year career in the oil and gas business to spend time with my daughters and keep house. In the divorce I lost everything we worked for., house, savings, motor home, seadoos, all of it. (I even lost my work status as I had such a specialized job I could not go back to it after 4 years out) I had to work a crappy thankless job for a year until I found this job, and their appreciation for me really boosted my self esteme. My anger towards my ex drove me to prove to him, I did not need him. I spent over 1 year with no income from him and I took every opportunity I could to show him I could survive. He even made mention of it in the past.

I could write my survivors guide but that is much to much bragging I am quite happy to boast "I DID IT"

On a credit note to the ex, after all the lawyers and mediators robbing me, he took a stand and admitted he owed me spousal support. He went against his lawyer and offered it to me. This after a years battle. He had a high end lawyer his mother was paying for who quite literally beat mine and me down into horrible submission. It was like a lamb facing a lion.

Way to go girl...Some people don't understand the fact when the other spouse leaves and just stops - EVERYTHING can stop..You have to eat, have electricity, gas, a vehicle--not only that but the kids need clothes, etc.-etc. I thought it would be easier with out him.whoo hooooo I was glad when Child Support Recovery stepped in and started to take it from his check! Men & Women too, only hurt the kids when they think by with holding $$ they are just hurting the spouse.....
