Yup *Accountable hitches his britches* I know exactly how that goes.

Okay, fine. I have no idea. But I would venture that he treats the guys in a similarly respectful way. Sooner or later, a guy is going to be jealous of his popularity and will try to start something. As long as he is consistent and true, the rest of the gang will squash the jealous one.

Just kick back and be proud, Pa.

As a leadership instructor (close as I can get to parent) I recommend that you have confidence in your training. You gave him the tools; trust him to use them well.

Yep I agree. Kids armed with a good positive upbringing succeed easily.

As a kid to kid thing, hey he is of the age of "interest" and generally if let be it will develop in it's own way. There will be heartache and joy but that is life and learning. This is the easy part, wait till daughters go through this ahahahah hohohohoh hehehehehe OMG I could cry

I agree with Accountable. The training you have done to this point is beginning to bear fruit.

I have two adult children and four grandchildren. My son was a lot like yours at that age. He’s tall dark and handsome. The girls were falling all over themselves to get close to him. He was so careful I was wondered for a while if he was goiong to be too cautious. He had one short romance with a girl from church and took another girl to prom. When he was twenty two the girl he had had his eye on for about seven years graduated from college. They were married then, and have been married six hears now..

You’ve done the training when he was trainable. He’s at the age now when all you can really do is offer advice and be there for him. It’s both fun and scary to watch them as they start stretching their wings.

Clint, thanks for your input, I know we did a good job with him. Im getting the feeling from the director that he's trying to discourage the development of couple relationships in the program because of the city sponsorship. The city is heavy into a non-harrassment environment.

There is a balance in there somewhere and at the same time I dont want to discourage him from being a gentleman.

Funny and scary too, indeed.

As a young developing gentleman he will with your teaching become a good man, however you have to teach him to be careful with the girls who quite literally throw themselves at him. ie, at his young age advise him, no one on one situations with girls for now, keep it as a group thing. Why you ask, because if a girl feels his rejection, she could start making false accusations and your son being the gentleman would have no idea what hit him. I raised daughters only, but my ex sis in law has a sister who raised boys and of anything I ever heard that stuck in my head, todays kids are extremely vulnerable to all kinds of false accusations boy or girl. So please Far remind him of these potential dangers and encourage him to keep being himself, enjoy life, but be careful and encourage friendships as opposed to romance for starters.

-We are baptist. This summer a certain 13 year old girl has let the neighborhood know that back off , my son is hers. He has alot of friends that are female and when they stopped calling or coming over, one of them told him why. That he was going steddy with angel, he said I am? Girls are very aggresive much more than boys. You need to watch them at this point.
