Yes, fascinating technology. (I love radios, RF, you name it.)

Some of the devices they are using RF are based. Other equipment is actually sound waves - and they can modify the pulses to stop a person's heart. Nasty.

In some ways, it's worse than lead because it is invisible, travels at the speed of light, is totally silent, and will have incredible range. (Compared to standard issue assault rifles.)

It's like fighting against a laser weapon. No time to duck and the re-positioning is instantaneous.

"If you can dream it, you can do it...and "the task ahead of us , is never as strong as the power behind us."

The Irish Police (An Garda) have had these non lethal weapons for sometime. They too use them for crowd control at protest marches in rooting out trouble makers.

Not to mention that this product is still in the developmental stages. In the mean time we should be fine with the non lethal hand to hand training that we recieve.

You sound like you are a Marine... I am the grandaughter, daughter, and

sister of former Marines. I just wanna say Happy 229th Birthday (yesterday!)

to all Marines, everywhere. And Semper Fidelis.

And I feel that since you are one of the the many loved ones that who must endure the many trials and deployments involved with being a dependent of a any military member. I owe you a great deal of respect and thanks. I know beyond any question that you must have gone through a lot. I myself have my wife and 5 month old son waiting for me back home. So I believe that I know some of the pain you may of had to experience. It is for that which I give thanks to you.

What a nice thing to say... I must tell you, though, that my grandfather died

before I was born, and my father was out before I was born, so the only

one I have really had to worry about was my brother, and yes I did worry so

much... he became a police officer for many years after his service so there

was worry then, too!

If there are other Marines around you, perhaps they would like to hear about

my 78 year old father, who has always believed in keeping in shape to the

best of his ability. He rides, trains, and puts shoes on his own horses, and my

bro-in-laws mules, and about a month ago unloaded 2 tons of hay over a 2

day period... all by himself. He also keeps a chin-up bar in his barn and does

morning and evening chin-ups, about 50 per day. He took his Marine Corps

training very seriously, and it has stuck with him all these years.

Keep safe, and you will be in my thoughts, and I hope you get home to that

wife and baby very soon...
