Makes The Time Go Faster?

I have never really understod this expression. It's said often in many posts.

Why do we want time to go faster? To get to eat dinner, lunch, a trip, our deaths? My brother -in-law plays solitaire frequently (with real cards), because he says it makes the time go faster.

Not me----slow it down----the slower the better. Somehow I got to be 71 years of age too damn fast---I'm in no hurry.

I'm with you on this one Lon, all too often i hear people wishing their liives

away " I cant wait til the weekend" " I cant wait for this to be finished"

It seems to me that no sooner have you cleared the snow from the path

the suns beating down on it, and before you know its christmas time again!

A nice slow pace of life is what i strive for,

after all we're a long time gone.

Maybe we use that expression when we're not enjoying the present time? But when we're feeling fulfilled and content, we don't need time to hurry?

Like a very LONG BORING day at work :wah: :wah: as opposed to enjoying the day with people we love or doing what we enjoy. :-4
