So this Sunday, the Eagles are going to play at Sonoma
State University in my town. No, I'm not going. But it's
in all the media around here... guess what, they sold
10,000 tix in 30 minutes and the University only has
5,000 parking spaces!!
Little place across the street is selling their few
parking spots for $10 a pop. Really makes ya wonder,
doesn't it?!?!?
Supposedly, it's the largest concert EVER in my county.
A reporter interviewed the head of security and he said
"Come early, and be patient, and when the show's over
we'll try and get everybody outta here in 45 minutes"!!!
No cans, bottles, alcohol, bbq, tailgating or RV's!!
No FUN, basically!!

So go buy the new CD and throw a BBQ at your house. That would probably be cheaper than a ticket. BTW I love the Eagles.

Pay the $10 for a parking spot, and tailgate party! You'll hear the music from there!

I've always liked them, too, but I wouldn't spend that kind of money to
be in crowds like that any more!!
And chonsigirl, we hear/see the fireworks from the university every
Fourth so I think I can sit in the driveway and hear the music!!

I saw them with The Steve Miller Band on their Hotel California tour, I dont mind paying the money for the experience if its a band I love.
I paid $ 350.00 off E-Bay for 2 tickets to Van Morisson last year, we were in the the last row and the wall behind my seat jutted out so I was leaning forward a little bit for 3 hrs and the girl on the other side of me was obnoxious but it was worth every penny.

Yahoo, you can party at home. Crank up the BBQ, and pull out lounge chairs for a free concert of great music!
