Howdy, just came on board

Hi, I just found this place. I'm a refugee from another forum that I have been a member of for YEARS. The management is getting a *wee* bit too controlling for me and the membership is dwindling. So...I'm out hunting for a new, different and diverse home. So far, I like what I see here. I'm still trying to find my way around. I do have a question though... when I'm on the front page, I can see messages with a reply button vs a quote button. When I go into the thread, I only see the quote button, not a 'quick' reply button. Am I doing something wrong or is that one of the benefits of paying $25.00?

There should be a Post Reply button on the left bottom, everyone should be able to see it.

Ok, yes, thank you, I see it now. I am used to (in the other forum) that you can reply to individual posts without having to quote them and when using a different view you can see who is responding to who.... I understand in order to do that you need to join, correct?

Thank you again for quick response! There is so much here and it's wonderful to see a couple of people from my area in Florida. :-6

We used to have a quick reply, but it went away with the latest upgrade. I understand the muses are still tweaking trying to get it back. There is a post reply button at the top and bottom left of each page when you're reading a thread.

OMG! Hi Kids, she says! Rofl, I also use 'kids'.

Well, let's see now. Older, female, married, 2 grown sons behaving like they aren't grown, living in Florida, transplant from NY, realtor, was in a muck because of the transplanting but budding quite nicely now. About to become a grandmother for the first time and absolutely loving the idea. Two large dogs, german sheppard and golden retriever that help make life worth it.

Both parents still alive. I smoke. I don't diet, but I still fit in the same size pants I did 10 years ago. Would love to start exercising again but, well...PROCRASTINATION sets in and.... heheh.

Twice Married, mother of 3 manchildren, 2 grown, one 11.

I am an accounting/Office manager type with a background in bio-psychology and special education. I do webdesign when I'm not at work. (And sometimes when i am) I live on the Central Coast of California. It's beautiful here.

That's about it. Work, home, work, kids, sleep, work.

Not to ignore the rest of your interesting, informative post, but I gotta say, you've got the 2 biggest GSD and Golden retriever fans here. Our lovely Val is the Shepherd fan, I'm the golden fan. Very cool! We've got some good threads in the pets area you may find interesting.
