OMG_ About Amber

It was pure you know what. I can even discribe what happened. DH and I walked into the exam room and Amber right away started to cry. It was terrible. and as they started molding the brace from the plaster she screamed it took me DH and the doctor to hold her little body kicking and screaming down while they casted her or whatever. I was so upset afterwards. I mean it , it looked like she went a few rounds with rocky. The was purpil and puffy. It was awful the way she worked herself up. at point she fell asleep. They put her on a bean bag as the casted her back. She was about to fall asleep when a nurse knocked on the door and woke her. I was more then a little iratated with the nurse.

But what you can do. UNBELIEVABLE> I am still trembling from that experince. But I think Amber thankfullly has forgot it. She is now playing with her little people in her and her brothers room.The doctor says he doesn't know how long. Generally until she paases through pupurity. Thats when the bones harded. For crying out loud, I hated see her cry like that. I felt like karating the doctor. But it's not his fault.

We sang I love you and you love me, the Barney song. That seem to ease her a bit. :-5

Amber probably has forgotten it, it's always us Mums that get so badly stressed out, go have a long hot soak, or go for a walk, de-stress!:yh_hugs

It was probably a lot worse for you than it was for her...take a bubble bath, relax, it's over now. When she grows up she probably won't remember any of it.

well betty I did I went to sleep. a very long sleep. I don't know if she has forgotton about it. Because she is a very smart child. I mean as soon as we walked into the exam room she started crying. My dad said the samething. But it was not a happy thing. But at least for the moment it's over. Last Dec. She had a cleft pallet surgery and they accidently knocked the breathing tube out of her mouth. I was terrified. She ended up in pIcu. Pediatric intentsive care. For a day and half. Because asperated the blood and stuff. I was pretty freaked out about it, My husband was even tearing yeasterday. But this morning she eating breakfast and walking around. Now we have to go Back on the 9 th for the fitting.

I am greatful this is going to be done. If it doesn't get done this problem could get worse and compromise her breathing. So it's good.

We now have to go buy clthes that can fit under the brace.

Ooh, very expensive.

I'd be going to Goodwill first. Sometimes you can find thing that no one has ever worn, they were gifts or didn't fit right so they were donated. Good luck!
