as spooky as the article seems, it really made sense in scientific fact. doomsday scenarios may well be created from what is known about topography. i think i could predict the demise of the overbuilding of the florida keys by a cat 5, and have had it on my mind for years. but in the case of the keys i am not sure it would be a bad thing to start over in the natural sense.

I remember that article. It only points up how it take a real catastrophe to get anything done- which is tragically stupid because prevention is always infinitely less expensive than cure, and cures are always band-aid.
