OK -to the people that have PM'd me and told me that they don't fell sorry for people who live in a dangerous area to begin with, and its because of them that their own insurance is to high......here is what I have to say::-5

Don't live in California, Nevada, or Alaska - They have had 411 Earthquakes in the last week....DON'T LIVE IN THIS AREA - YOU MIGHT RAISE YOUR FRIENDS INSURANCE.....

Don't live in Arizona, Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, Oregon, Washington, or Wyoming...IF YOUR HOME BURNS TO THE GROUND BECAUSE YOU LIVE IN A FIRE HAZARD AREA...YOUR FRIENDS INSURANCE MIGHT RAISE.

Don't live in Iowa, Kansas, Illinois, Texas, Oklahoma,Arkansas, Nebraska, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Minnesota....IF YOUR HOME IS STRUCK BY A TORNADO, YOU WILL RAISE YOUR FRIENDS INSURANCE........

Don't live in Florida, Texas, Louisiana, the Carolinas, Mississippi ...BECAUSE IF YOU ARE PUT OUT BECAUSE OF A HURICANE....YOUR FRIENDS INSURANCE MIGHT RAISE.....

I have received 3 Pm's from people who had the audacity to say that it is because people life in Florida, Louisiana, & California - there insurance is to high.....Well - people each one of you lives somewhere in this GREAT Country- and if you did not lie about where you are then your states are above...So maybe you better move your butt to Canada and leave your hazardous state - SO MY INSURANCE WON'T GO UP! :-5

No offense to the great people of Canada-- I really wouldn't want to send these arrogant a$$'s to you..........

roflmao. Oh, please pardon me while I get back on my chair. Please do NOT feel alone listening to the bs people are piling on you. I'm in another forum hearing the same crap and finally got them to admit that they couldn't evacuate the great wonderful place called New York City or Long Island either, so wtf? I heard it all last year about what an a-hole I was to live in Florida. Got hardly any crime by me, leave near, not on the ocean, am making a living and have a tan. What's so bad? Geee....we have mother nature in our midsts. oooooh! So do they. rofl

You didn't get to mention about all those " Excessive Speeders", who speed at comacozzi- sucidial speeds. So that when they crash (and they do) into law abiding drivers cars, the tow trucks just push the carniage over to the side of the road & it becomes those speeders ( & in some cases innocents) tombstone markers!

Those crazies raise all of our car insurance rates also!!! But will they stop speeding, I think not!!! :wah:

I have earthquake insurance on my home in California, it was a necessity. It was considered an option, but not to a homeowner.

I'm calling out to those that PM'd Mom on this subject. The whole purpose of this forum is open conversation... when we're not covertly flirting or being irreverant. So what you have what you see as an unpopular opinion? So what you think people will get angry at your post? Be accountable ... oh yeh, that's me ... Be proud of your opinion; it represents what you stand for. And if you are not proud of what you stand for, maybe it's time you examine that.

Speaking of tombstone markers. . . . I cannot stand those crosses they put up on the side of the road where someone died as a result of an accident! They are not tended to and after a while they just look a little creepy. They don't slow me down or make me drive better, they just get on my nerves.

Is there ANYWHERE ON ANY HIGHWAY that someone hasn't lost a life? Let's just put up one huge cross on each highway. Or better yet, put those flowers on their graves and remember them in your heart.

Do they do that where you live, too? Why are they allowed to put up things like that on the state right of way but when a candidate puts up a campaign sign they tell them to take it down?

I always thought insurance was way to high because people abuse the system?? And thanks for not wanting to send them our way, gosh they would need gang, snow, rain, ice storm, high speed traffic, and canada goose poop insurance. Sheesh.

That's right folks! No hurricanes, tornados, volcanos, tidal waves, floods, forest fires, or any other kind of natural disaster! We have our own oil reserves, refineries, natural gas wells, powerplants, huge fresh water resevoirs, and the biggest farm in the world! Heck...if enough of you move here, we can raise a flag and call ourselves our own country! Who needs the rest of the planet?!:D

I feel pity for the everyday, average responsible person, but it's the people who are SURPRISED when a hurricane hits that floor me. They don't call it "hurricane season" for nothing. Just like the people in my area who freak out every time we get a blizzard and they close down half the roads. I mean, we live in Cleveland. GET USED TO IT. The same thing goes for any other state. "Gee, I don't know how a hurricane/tornado/brush fire/lynching/16 feet of snow could have happened in my area! I thought Florida/Kansas/California/New York City/Ohio was the safest place on earth! Insurance? Why would I buy insurance?" THOSE are the people who make me roll my eyes. Part of becoming a mature responsible adult is risk assessment. It's very important for life! I would imagine that part of moving to an area of the country would entail planning for the weather that occurs in that particular area. After all, you wouldn't move to Alaska and not pack a winter coat.:-5
