Ahhh the lovely winnipeg I love that city so lush and the rivers are gorgeous (we have small rivers here)

Never been to Thunder Bay, or Quebec or Quebec City. But to Toronto pffft just another large busy city.

If you are coming from Canada - yes take a left at Albuquerque hahaha. I was born in Roswell - so was my Mom - it's a very sad tale. LMAO

Roswell - well there is a military academy there - great for the local girls and there is the alien festival every forth of July and there are a lot of retirees there now. Not much else except cotton, cows and church. :wah:

The Duke of Alburquerque established this hole in the desert 300 years ago.....

And I told the truth...read the story for yourself up at the courthouse. In order for a town to be recognized as a city, it has to file a charter at the State Capital. When Farmington filed their charter in 1910, they sent it by stagecoach to Sante Fe.

On the way the stage was robbed and the charter was lost. (Most likely used to start a fire or worse yet...for toilet paper)

The loss wasn't discovered until 1995, at which time the current Mayor of Farmington, Bill Standley, said that if anyone challenged us legally, we could make the case the we had been squatting on this land by the river for close to one hundred years, and therefore could claim squatter's rights!

But the fact remains that without a charter, Farmington cannot legally be declared a city.
