I have thought about this loads of times....chatting to everyone face to face....mellowing out with a few glasses of 'what you fancy'.... "In the moonlight by the water"....what a great time we would have.....

How about all of us holding hands round a fire....how cool....stuff of dreams..:-4

May be at Christmas or New Year...we should all try and get to our PCs at the same time, close our eyes and send a wish to each other....yeh...a nutty idea.:o

Back in the 80's I joined a BBS group. It was pre-internet and we were all Americans affiliated with the miliary on Okinawa. Nothing of a global scale like FG. anyway, one of the members opened up his home for a New Year's party. We all came to meet each other and put faces to the names. It strengthened many friendships.

No I haven't. You've hit upon my most regrettable flaw. I don't keep in touch. I've lost contact with all except 3 close friends from my military life.

I think we all say 'keep in touch' when we go our different ways...but in reality we move on and live our lives and make new friends. I have only kept in touch with 1 or 2 people that I used to work with. I did start to correspond with some old school friends on 'Friends Reunited' and they invited me to a re-union. it turned out that they were all married to Lawyers and Doctors etc. I felt itimidated and didn't go. They didn't need to work, had posh cars and some of their 'memories' were a bit suspect too. I don't regret it....that was then and this is now....I prefer NOW I think. :)

Wrapped around each other

Trying so hard to stay warm

That first cold winter together

Lying in each others arms

Watching those old movies

Falling in love so desperately

Honey, I was your hero

And you were my leading lady

We had it all

Just like Bogie and Bacall

Starring in our old late, late show

Sailing away to Key Largo

Here's lookin' at you kid

Missing all the things we did

We can find it once again, I know

Just like they did in Key Largo

Honey, can't you remember

We played all the parts

That sweet scene of surrender

When you gave me your heart

Please say you will

Play it again

'Cause I love you still

Baby, this can't be the end

We had it all

(We had it all)

Just like Bogie and Bacall

Starring in our old late, late show

Sailing away to Key Largo

Here's lookin' at you kid

UMM ERR - LC has offered her place for the FG get together - however - an island sounds good... Love you LC - you'll probably be in England before then....:-4
